Bountiful Baskets

Every Saturday morning, bright and early, we get to retrieve our weekly supply of fresh produce! The Co-op is called Bountiful Baskets. For a decent price (or at least for cheaper than going to the grocery store every week) you get a TON of awesome fresh veggies, fruit, and anything else that happens to be in season. It changes every week so it's like getting a surprise!

Even though it's a great deal, it's a TON of food that Ryan and I can't really handle by ourselves. So we got smart one day and decided to go halfsies with our great friends, Johanna and Billy, and the amount is perfect and the price is cut in half!

The great thing about getting this service every week is that you HAVE to use all the food as much as you can so that it doesn't go to waste. So our meals tend to be a little healthier, like so:

This is chipotle chicken with rice and veggies. The chicken we recommend you purchase at costco in the frozen food aisle. It's a great deal and it's the best chicken quality we've seen so far. The chipotle seasoning is from any grocery store that sells seasoning packets. Ryan made a marinade and it turned out spicy and flavorful.

We got lemons in this batch and I'm excited to use them for something unique!
